Chairmans Chat – September 2017

We have lots to tell you about this month!

We have now had the camera/video analysis system installed on court 4 and a single camera on court 3. Steve Sieff will be sending out details on how to use the system in the near future.  This is the first such installation in the UK and presents a very exciting opportunity for the club and members alike.

The annual handicap tournament is now booked for mid-November, please sign up on ManageMyMatch (everyone should be familiar with MMM by now).

Our AGM and traditional exhibition match is booked for Friday 17 November, I will send more details and remind everyone nearer to the date.

Sadly, a couple of committee members are retiring this year and we are looking for replacements. If you are willing and can give up a little bit of your time to help run the club then please let a committee member know.

We now have a Squash Twitter account for Squash news and updates please follow us at cb_lovesquash

The Junior Bronze tournament is on Saturday 30th Sept and 1st October, finals (not to be missed) will be on the Sunday afternoon. Please come down and support Sam and the juniors over that weekend.

Due to the tournament, club night is moving to Monday 2nd October.

For those of you who use the “Squash Skills” website please see if you can identify the courts used in their latest video!

We are looking to recruit new adult playing members and will be doing some local advertising soon, promoting the new courts and cameras etc. *** Any member who introduces a new full member will have £25 added to their Fob account, to spend on courts or at the bar! ***
