Breaking News! – Chesham Bois Seniors player in Nationals final

At the National Squash Championships in Manchester, Peter Smith has fought his way through to the Masters Over 65s final to be held today around 11am. En route he beat the number 1 seed and last year’s runner up (to Aubrey Waddy), Ian Graham, followed by a victory over Salisbury ex-Army machine and 2013, 2014 O65 National champion Barry Featherstone.

In the O60s, Rob Ballingall overcame higher seeded Paul Reader and Yorkshire O60s no. 1 Mark Thomson to reach the semi, eventually bowing out to the 3/4 seeded and effortlessly skillful Duleep Adihetty.

Darren Withey lived up well to his 3/4 seeding in the O50s, beating 5/8 seeded Simon Spencer in a quarter-final that went right to the wire before succumbing to number 1 seed Marc Aldridge in the semi.
